In our early clinical trials, participants reported significant relief, with an almost 50% drop in Tinnitus Handicap Inventory (THI) scores after 6 months of using our therapy. THI scores are a validated measure of how severely tinnitus affects a person’s life.
Participants enjoyed the music that was used in their treatment and were able to incorporate listening to their customized sound therapy into their daily routine. Some participants would listen for single 2 to 3 hour sessions, while others broke up the listening sessions into multiple 30 to 60 minute sessions each day. With these commitments we were able to see gradual improvements in the THI as well as perceived tinnitus loudness. Our efforts to design an enjoyable and convenient sound therapy were intended to make it easier for tinnitus sufferers to use the sound therapy in a range of situations and with different life styles.
We look forward to updating you with more information about our clinical work in the coming weeks.
